Welcome to the Think Different, Teach Better website and podcast! Charlotte and Carla are the hosts, and they are two passionate educators dedicated to creating inclusive classroom environments.

Charlotte has been teaching for 13 years and currently works at a boys’ school, having also taught in coeducational settings. With a background in the arts and postgraduate degrees in teaching and psychological science, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice. Before entering the education sector, Charlotte led a national organisation for ten years and owned a business services company.

Carla has 9 years of teaching experience and currently teaches at a girls’ school, with previous experience in coeducational environments. She holds degrees in business and teaching and has worked across a range of roles in the corporate sector. Carla’s diverse professional background informs her holistic and practical approach to education.

Both are deeply committed to fostering inclusive classrooms. In recent years, they’ve observed a noticeable rise in both diagnosed and undiagnosed neurodivergence among students, alongside a need for greater psychological understanding in teacher training. This inspired them to launch their podcast and website, with the goal of supporting educators to better understand neurodivergence and neurodiversity—and to help create optimal learning environments for all students.
